Experience

Since commencing client work in 1999, I have conducted over 2000 therapy sessions. Approximately 60% of my work has been short-term counselling contracts (3 to 24 sessions) and 40% has involved longer contracts of 6 months or more. I have worked with clients from a wide range of cultures, who have presented a variety of issues including:

    Settings I Have Practiced In:

    I have worked with clients in the following settings: NHS, GP practice, private practice, mental health charity (Mind), adult service, young peoples community service, drug and alcohol service.

    Current & Previous Professional Activities

    Alongside my private practice, I am currently the Professional Lead for Counselling and Psychological Therapies for Westminster NHS Primary Care Trust. Prior to this I won the BACP Award for Excellence in the Provision of Psychotherapy for developing the Counselling Service at Westminster Mind Mental Health Charity. I have served on the Voluntary Sector Forum for the BACP. I have also provided counselling in GP and drug and alcohol settings.

    Prior to entering the field of psychotherapy I had careers in media sales and administration. My therapeutic work is also informed by my experience of working in a wide range of industries including Publishing, PR, Media, Banking, Property, Finance, Design, Education, Charity and Public Sector.
